Covered in thin little bristle like thorns, devil's club can make a grown man cry if they were to venture through a patch of this evil stuff. A common plant in the forests of British Columbia. This plant grows well over six feet tall. This broad-leafed plant may be horrible stuff, but it creates a beautiful scene in the semi-temperate forests.
Just outside of Port Alberni, Vancouver Island a beautiful roadside creek meanders through the temperate rainforest. The old remnant of a giant red cedar that has succumbed to the pressures of the logging industry slowly erodes away in the background.
