I decided to take a self-portrait for this photo to show how enormous coastal redwoods actually are. For a Canadian, this was a sight to behold.
I arrived on location at about 11 pm on a weeknight after an hour and a half drive through the mountains on my first attempt to capture a meteor shower. I only had a couple of meteors that night, but I was able to swing a cool panorama of Upper Kananaskis Lake.
Road tripping is in my blood. Ever since I could drive, I always wanted to see what was around the next bend. This was my first of many trips down to Oregon. This is a sunrise from Oneonta gorge, well before tourist filled this canyon.
