Therapy can be viewed in many different ways. This is my therapy. Connecting with the ground below my feet takes me away from the hectic distractions that life is filled with. Getting out in nature has always instilled a reminder of how many problems in life can be solved by slowing down and simply living in the moment and not worrying about what may or may not happen next.
Scouring through the Internet, you will find majority of photos from Peyto Lake quite repetitious. The photos are always shot from the Bow Summit parking lot in the same fashion. They are gorgeous photos, but overdone in my opinion. On this day I opted to be a bit different and not shoot the lake at all. Instead I shot the sun setting behind the mountains just above the lake. The suns rays shot across the landscape as the glacier-capped mountains received their last light of the day.
It is amazing what a little bit of sun can do for the soul. On this early morning, my daughter and I had this little piece of paradise where we were able to enjoy the sunrise together after a night of constant rain.
