I have always loved the look of this grove of aspen trees each time I drive down what is known as the “Cowboy Trail”, a highway that navigates through the southwestern portion of Alberta along the edge of the Rockies. It just seemed so balanced with a beautiful backdrop.
By no means is this a stellar photo from a technical standpoint. While out hiking I had such a cool experience I had to at least share this image. While hiking up on a mountain ridge this juvenile golden eagle flew right below me, then proceeded to fly up and around me for a few minutes before moving on. I snapped a couple pictures by hand as quick as I could.
For me, there is nothing more satisfying than being immersed in a lush green forest. Of all my travels, nothing compares to the temperate rainforests of the Cascade Mountains in Oregon.
