I took my father in law on an epic adventure to his first ever summit. We started hiking before 3 am in hopes to witness a sunrise from the top. I think the hike almost killed the old man. I was absolutely blown away with the level of perseverance this man had. He struggled through every step from the midway point to the top. His body was not accustomed to hiking in thin air on steep slopes. He pushed through all of the pain just to see the sun rising from the top of the mountain. This is the photo of Shaun on the summit of Windtower in Kananaskis Alberta.
This is the second waterfall along Kanarraville's slot canyon. This is also the waterfall I fell off of during the descent from the ladder. I completely dunked my camera underwater in the process. Thank god, it ended up surviving the ordeal after a few good hours drying out in the desert sun.
Therapy can be viewed in many different ways. This is my therapy. Connecting with the ground below my feet takes me away from the hectic distractions that life is filled with. Getting out in nature has always instilled a reminder of how many problems in life can be solved by slowing down and simply living in the moment and not worrying about what may or may not happen next.
