Terrified of spiders, my intent is to overcome my fears. What better way than to hold a tarantula I found wandering the desert.
I find the ugliest, creepy critters fascinate me for some reason. I don't know why, but they do. I would feel safe to say this creepy crawler of the night fits that bill even though it is harmless.
A Desert Blonde tarantula roams near its burrow in the Sonoran Desert in Arizona. As a nocturnal species, they rarely are seen in sunlight except during mating season in the fall or after a rainfall, which was the case for this encounter.
